eom-common software package provides Eye of MATE graphics viewer program (common files), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install eom-common
eom-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the eom-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eom-common *
You will get with eom-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
